We keep groups small to ensure stronger team dynamics, better leader-to-client ratios, and reduced environmental impact.
Morocco’s Mount Toubkal Circuit Trek
Take an unforgettable eight-day adventure through Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains, designed for trekkers with a strong level of fitness and a passion for challenge.
Across six days of trekking, we cross dramatic high passes and wind through remote valleys dotted with traditional Berber villages. This circular route takes us off the beaten track into untouched wilderness, leading to the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167m), North Africa’s highest peak. While the climb is a challenge, it’s a non-technical trek, open to anyone with determination and a love for the outdoors.
Expect breathtaking views at every turn; jagged peaks, sweeping alpine valleys, and terraced hillsides. Walk among orchards of fig, apple, walnut, and cherry, while friendly locals share smiles and glimpses into their rich Berber traditions.
Our adventure continues beyond the mountains in Marrakech, a bustling city bursting with life. From spice-filled souks to centuries-old palaces and buzzing street scenes, the energy and colour of Morocco’s capital provide the perfect end to a fantastic expedition.
This trek is more than reaching a summit. It’s a journey through wild landscapes, ancient culture, and the very heart of Morocco.
Itinerary
Day 2
Transfer Marrakech to Imlil, trek to Tacheddirt, 5 hrs trekking

Early morning transfer to Imlil. Trek to Tacheddirt. Altitude 2,300m.
Day 3
Trek Tacheddirt to Azib Likemt, 6 hrs trekking
↓
Trek Tacheddirt to Azib Likemt via Likemt Pass (3,555m). Altitude 2,650m.
Day 4
Trek Azib Likemt to Amsouzert, 7-8 hrs trekking

A much flatter trek from Azib Likemt to Amsouzert. Overnight gite. Altitude 1,740m
Day 5
Trek Amsouzert to Ifni Lake, 4 hrs trekking

A shorter trek today from Amsouzert to Ifni Lake. Overnight refuge. Altitude 2,295m.
Day 6
Ifni Lake to Mt Toubkal Refuge, 6 hrs trekking
↓
Trek from Ifni Lake to Mt Toubkal refuge via Ouanoums Pass (3,664m). Overnight refuge. Altitude 3,207m.
Day 7
Summit Day! 8-9 hrs trekking
↓
We rise very early to summit Mt Toubkal (4,167m). Return to the refuge for lunch before trekking to Imlil. Transfer to Marrakech.

Mount Toubkal Circuit Expedition Costs, Inclusions and Payment Schedule
- Secure your place with a €200 deposit
- The remaining balance is payable by instalments or in full
- All fees are due three months prior to departure
- Total expedition cost is detailed above

- All accommodation based on twin sharing in hotels in Marrakech, and in refuges and tents on the trail
- All meals and drinking water except in Marrakech where accommodation is based on B&B

- Permit for trekking Mt Toubkal
- All transport throughout the expedition
- Group gear consisting of a fully stocked med kit including an oxygen tank
- An Earth's Edge buff for all participants
Flights
Please consult us before booking your flights to ensure you arrive in time for the expedition briefing on the first day. It is essential you do not miss this meeting.
