Overview

We are the only company in the world who have an expedition leader and doctor on all Annapurna Circuit via Nar and Kang La expeditions while keeping group sizes sustainably small. Established in 2007, we offer high altitude trekking and mountaineering in some of the most breath-taking locations around the world.

Trekking the Annapurna Circuit via Nar and Kang La

Our 18-day alternative Annapurna Circuit trek (including 12 days of trekking) takes us deep into one of the most remote and culturally preserved corners of the Himalayas.

Following a lesser-trodden route through the Nar and Phu Valleys, we’ll cross the breathtaking Kang La Pass (5,320m) and later Thorong La (5,416m), experiencing a side of Nepal few trekkers ever see.

Closed to foreigners until 2002, Nar and Phu still feel like a world apart. We’ll cross suspension bridges, trek through pine forests, and pass ancient chortens, mani walls, and prayer-carved cliffs as the trail climbs into a vast and stunning high-altitude landscape.

Trek Highlights:
  • 12 days of trekking
  • Trek through Nar and Phu, remote villages steeped in Tibetan culture and Himalayan tradition
  • Cross two high-altitude passes: Kang La (5,320m) and Thorong La (5,416m)
  • Stay in traditional tea houses and experience authentic Himalayan mountain life
  • Enjoy breathtaking views of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, and more
  • Explore Kathmandu before and after the trek, with its ancient temples, vibrant markets, and rich cultural history

This is more than just a scenic trek – it’s a rich cultural experience in one of Nepal’s most untouched regions. Perfect for fit and adventurous trekkers seeking a quieter, more authentic alternative to the traditional Annapurna Circuit.

Led by an expert expedition leader, supported by a team of local Sherpas and porters, and accompanied by a dedicated expedition doctor, your safety and wellbeing are always our top priority so you can travel with peace of mind.
