MY FAVOURITE EVEREST BASE CAMP MEMORY - Joannda! 🗻🤩

Our expedition to Everest Base Camp is so full of highlights that it’s very difficult to pick a favourite!

But because she’s great under pressure, we thought we’d ask our General Manager Joannda to tell us hers - find out about her favourite memory of travelling to Nepal with us back at the start of 2023!

“It’s really hard to pick a favourite day or moment from the Everest Base Camp expedition, as there is SO much to take in across the 13 days of trekking. But, if I had to choose one standout day, it would have to be the trek from Namche Bazaar to Phortse on Day 6.

As we left the bustling town of Namche behind and slowly ascended above the tree-line, we followed an undulating path carved into the rugged mountainside. All day, we were surrounded by the most incredible panoramic views of the breathtaking Himalayas.

Ama Dablam, with its distinctive peak, was our constant companion that day, and we were lucky enough to catch occasional glimpses of Everest too! I think, for me, this was the day when the fact that I was actually trekking in the Himalayas really sunk in as you’re surrounded by its impressive peaks everywhere you turn.”
