Discover the magic of Arctic Finland on this unforgettable 8-day winter adventure through Lapland’s snow-covered wilderness. Based in a cozy log cabin near Syöte National Park, you’ll experience the very best of arctic winter activities and Finnish hospitality.
Each day brings a new way to explore the pristine landscapes of Syöte and Riisitunturi National Parks. Snowshoe through ancient, snow-laden forests, backcountry ski across rolling fells, ride husky sleds over frozen rivers, and finish the week fat biking along groomed winter trails. Evenings are for hearty meals, the warmth of a traditional Finnish sauna, and (if conditions are right!), the chance to witness the Northern Lights dancing across the sky.
Along the way, you’ll share campfire lunches, connect with local traditions, and embrace the rhythm of life in Finland’s far north. This expedition is ideal for those seeking both adventure and cultural immersion, in a perfect blends of physical challenge and authentic Arctic magic.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in Finnish Lapland
↓
Arrive at Rovaniemi Airport (RVN), and transfer to our accommodation for the week. Evening welcome dinner, trip briefing, and optional Finnish sauna.
Day 2
Snowshoeing in Syöte National Park, 10km (5 hours)
↓
Snowshoe through the forests and fells, enjoy lunch by an open-fire, then snowshoe back to the cabin for stretching, sauna, and dinner.
Day 3
Hiking in Riisitunturi National Park, 5km (4-5 hours)
↓
Hike the snow-covered Riisitunturi fells, picnic in nature, visit Pentimäki Culture and Ceramics Centre, then return to the cabin for sauna, dinner, and the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights!
Day 4
Cross-Country Skiing Adventure, 15-25km (5-6 hours)

Short skiing course followed by hut-to-hut cross-country skiing, with lunch en route.
Day 5
Husky Sledding, 20-30km (5 hours)
↓
Drive your own husky team on a thrilling Arctic adventure through snowy forests and over frozen rivers. Evening sauna and dinner back at the cabin.
Day 6
Back-Country Skiing in Syöte, 10km (5 hours)

Explore forests and frozen lakes on skin-based skis in a remote part of Syöte National Park. Enjoy a delicious wilderness lunch, then return to the cabin for dinner and relaxing.
Day 7
Fat Biking in Syöte, 10-15km (4 hours)

Ride through the snowy landscapes of Syöte National Park one last time on well-maintained tracks made specifically for fat bikes. Delicious farewell dinner at the cabin and a final sauna under the northern skies.

- Secure your place with a €399 deposit
- The remaining balance is payable by instalments or in full
- All fees are due three months prior to departure

- All accommodation based on twin sharing in a cozy log cabin

Our recommended flight route is below. Please consult us before booking alternative flights to ensure you arrive in time for the expedition briefing on the first day. It is essential you do not miss this meeting.
