Climbing Mount Toubkal In a Weekend
Your Mount Toubkal expedition with Earth’s Edge is designed to support you every step of the way – from the moment you sign up to the moment you return home. As Ireland’s most trusted expedition company, we focus on preparation, safety, and community, ensuring every climber feels confident and well looked after throughout the journey.
From the buzz of Marrakech, we travel into the Atlas Mountains to begin our ascent of North Africa’s highest peak.
Starting from the Berber village of Imlil, we trek steadily through dramatic mountain scenery, passing the sacred shrine of Sidi Chamharouch before reaching our high altitude refuge, base camp for summit day.
A pre-dawn start sees us climb by headtorch to the summit of Mount Toubkal, where sweeping views stretch across the Atlas Mountains and out toward the Sahara Desert beyond. It’s a demanding day, but one that delivers an unforgettable sense of achievement, capped off with a long descent back to the valley.
We finish where we began, back in Marrakech, with time to relax, explore and celebrate a major achievement. A perfect high altitude mountain experience packed into one amazing weekend.

Why Travel With Earth’s Edge?
At Earth’s Edge, we believe adventure changes lives. Our approach is defined by preparation, support, and community. From the first briefing to summit day, we are with you every step of the way.
Since 2007, we’ve guided thousands of people to some of the world’s most iconic summits, from Kilimanjaro to Aconcagua. When we go to the world’s highest mountains, including Mount Toubkal (4,167m), we send an expedition doctor, a cornerstone of our commitment to safety and care that runs right through the company.
This commitment to care defines how we travel. We operate with smaller group sizes, build stronger teams, and work closely with the communities who make our expeditions possible. As a proud Irish B Corp, we are dedicated to protecting the planet and supporting local staff through fair pay and responsible practices.
Each climber receives an Earth’s Edge team jacket ahead of departure, a practical piece of kit designed for the mountain, and a reminder that your journey begins long before you arrive in Morocco.
Our goal is simple: to help people grow physically, mentally, and emotionally through extraordinary adventures.
