How do I cope with altitude sickness?
K2 Base Camp is at an altitude of 5,400m. We trek slowly and rest along the way, in order to acclimatise slowly. You should also drink plenty of water (at least 3 litres, preferably 5 a day), stay well fed, get rest and walk at a slow pace. Don’t forget, the doctor is there for a reason. Tell them as soon as you start to feel unwell and the treatment is much easier.
